GBA Projects is one of Australia’s leading project management companies, with a focus on minimising risk and enhancing performance of complex developments.

Established in 1986, the company maintained a small team until a recent surge in growth saw them expand to 40 staff.

With many of their staff working remotely, GBA has a key requirement for mobility in their systems. The complex and changing nature of their work also means staff need to rapidly shift from client to client and are frequently seconded, demanding flexibility in infrastructure and consistency across hardware.

nitially, the GBA team had the technical skills to manage their IT in-house. This changed when their team grew from 12 to 30 staff within a space of six months.

They soon realised that they would need an IT partner who could quickly step in to support them; one who wouldn’t only meet their existing needs, but could strategically grow their technology in line with their business goals.

When GBA approached Calvert, we began with a session to understand the business – how they operated, their growth goals, and challenges they faced. We followed up with an audit to discover any existing technology we could leverage, and identify the gaps where they needed to invest.
